Terrill Smith is an Executive Vice President at SFI. He specializes in project management and has extensive business and government contracting experience. He has successfully managed multi-million dollar projects including public/private partnerships with the Department of Energy, General Electric, Best Buy, MGM Mirage, Wyndham, Planet Green, Georgia Power, ComEd and the Salt River Project. Smith recently set up and managed a Proxy Solicitation Call Center, as well as developed and maintained an interactive client website and monitored social media which enabled him to search, track and analyze member conversations and attitudes.
Previously, Smith helped co-found a technology company and served as Director of an emerging growth company that developed high tech solutions for national security and space systems. Clients included the US Air Force, the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Defense Advance Research Projects Agency and the NASA Institute for Advanced Concepts.
Smith started his career in commercial banking where he held various senior management positions. He managed a large department staff and was responsible for accounts in excess of $100 million. He later moved into venture banking where he served as a Vice President of Silicon Valley Bank’s Technology Division. In that position, he managed a complex portfolio of venture capital backed companies across a wide spectrum of technologies. Smith received his bachelor’s degree from the Pennsylvania State University.
