Kimberly Bacon Speed

Kimberly Bacon Speed has an extensive background in sports marketing, corporate event planning and logistics, public relations, and client representation and management. Before coming to SFI, Speed handled client logistics and had daily interaction with top-ranked women’s tennis players and numerous NFL football players as well as oversaw corporate and client hospitality at various sporting events. Some of these events included The Masters (Augusta, GA); The Kentucky Derby (Louisville, KY); The Wimbledon Championships (Wimbledon, England); the French Open (Paris, France); and the US Open (Flushing Meadows, NY). In this capacity, Speed organized client media availabilities, promotional appearances, travel and logistics, tournaments and compliance with contractual obligations.

In addition to her experience in the sports marketing world, Speed handled event logistics, fundraising and management services for clients including The Epilepsy Foundation, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Fannie Mae, The Foundation for Women’s Cancer, numerous Senate and Congressional campaigns, and the Republican National Committee and as a Major Donor Events Coordinator during the 2008 Republican National Committee Convention in Minneapolis – St. Paul.

Speed gained Capitol Hill experience by working for Congressman John J. Duncan, Jr. from Tennessee and served as a Legislative Assistant handling various issues as well as managed constituent correspondence for the Congressman. Speed graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Sports Management – Marketing.
